JOB DESCRIPTION
Sight and Sound Events is looking for good people with strong technical abilities and a great work ethic. Positions are part time and on a per need basis. There is also weekday event work available. Setups can range from small P.A. systems and basic lighting to full front of house P.A.s with intelligent light fixtures. Training in all areas is available as well as opportunities in others. Jack of all trades welcome.
WHo is right for this position?
Great personality is a must.
You must be open minded and accept the training given. Regardless of how you learned to do things in the past you must be willing to do it a different way.
Over the top people skills is very important. We are often judged more by how we treat the clients, guests and venue staff than our performance.
Strong Work Ethic! Whining and complaining are not allowed. You must be able to do your job, over and above expectations, all with a smile on your face.
Upwardly mobile. You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Flexible schedule. You must be available nights and weekends.
Strong. You will be carrying lots of equipment, so you must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have a basic knowledge of computers.
Must have professional experience in a related field.

Full availability on Friday and Saturdays. Availability to work weekday events as needed.
Must have a vehicle and be able to travel.
Audio/Visual Technician Requirements:
Experience and knowledge setting up all types of P.A. and wireless systems.
Ability to move heavy P.A. equipment.
Experience with both digital and analog boards.
LIGHTING TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS
Strong understanding of DMX protocol and programming.
Basic rigging skills.
How to set colors in uplights, RGB, RGBA and RGBAWUV
Experience programming moving head fixtures.
