CEO of Fun – Jodi Harris
Energizing! Fun! Passionate! Experience! These are all words you hear to describe the CEO of Fun, Jodi Harris. Jodi’s 26 years in the business has made her a highly sought after DJ entertainer, director and event producer. Her experience encompasses a wide variety of jobs that include disc jockey entertainer, video producer, photographer, event producer, marketing and hospitality expert.
Jodi was grew up in Yonkers, New York. Jodi spent 10 years with the ABC Television Network working several years in public relations and later moving onto the production staff of “Live with Regis and Kathie Lee”.
In 1991, she moved to Los Angeles, California. There, Jodi worked for MTV where she booked talent for several television projects. When MTV relocated to the Universal City Studios, Jodi went to work for Paragon Television where she produced several community projects winning three South Bay Producer Guild Awards.
Jodi is a member of NACE (National Association for Catering & Events) and was awarded two of the association’s highest honors: 2015 & 2009 Event Professional of the Year in Las Vegas and the 2006 National NACE Event Professional/Affiliate member of the Year. Jodi has also won 3 National NACE Awards in 2013 and 2015 for her events both in corporate and social events. The Wedding and Event Videographers Association (WEVA) named her, Ambassador of the Year in 2006 for contributions to the event videography industry. Sight & Sound Events earned a Creative Excellence Award for wedding day videography from WEVA International.
Jodi believes in giving back to the industry that has been so good to her by teaching other professionals in her field how to become successful. This year she has lined up several speaking engagements on the topic of customer service and social media marketing. Jodi is celebrating her 3rd year as host of the Podcast ‘Weddings Done Right Radio – The How To For the I Do’ on iTunes .
Harris and her company donate services to charitable organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Adopt A Pet Rescue. Jodi and her Sight & Sound ‘FUNATICS’ ROCK the Las Vegas annual ‘Making Strides Against Breast Cancer’ event every October to raise money in the fight against Cancer.
In her spare time, Jodi enjoys spending time with husband Pat, and her dogs Bingo and Champ. She loves Days of Our Lives, the beach, roller derby with the Sin City Roller Girls, NASCAR, painting and watching World Wrestling Entertainment.
